Elizabeth Lowe

Parisian-trained Chef Elizabeth Lowe has been baking and cooking for over thirty  years. She earned a Grand Diplôme from La Varenne Ecôle de Cusine in Paris. She remained in Paris for another year and apprenticed in a two-star Michelin restaurant, two patisseries and a chocolate shop.. When she returned to the States she opened with Maxim’s in New York City and then worked at Le Marquis at the Lafayette Hotel in Boston, before opening her own wholesale baking business, Delices de Liz. In 1990 she moved to Vermont to work in the test kitchen at Eating Well Magazine and from 1992-1998 opened and ran a successful bakery/cafe called Queen of Tarts in Burlington, VT.  

She has worked in retail, wholesale, product development and sales in the food industry. In 2011 she moved Queen of Tarts to St. John, USVI
